Lessons for the Bullied, and the Bullies

When I set out to write the first three books in The Three Lost Kids series, I wanted them to be fun (more…)

Posted by on Jun 4, 2012 in Blog Hop, FREE Giveaways | Comments Off on Too Soon for Halloween? Not according to the Three Lost Kids.

If your kids are anything like mine, they have been planning their Halloween costumes since last year.

Normally my kids change their minds a lot, but this year they have been pretty consistent–at least for the next Three Lost Kids book I have coming out. The Three Lost Kids and The Death of the Sugar Fairy will launch October 2, and the girls have picked their trick or treat outfits for this debut.

Maddie is a dark fairy.

Bella is a dragon.

Lexie is an angel.

In this book, the girls discover a Haunted House that’s really haunted! And there’s a dying Sugar Fairy inside! They (more…)

Lexie World (Three Lost Kids, #1)

…Each time I put my foot down, it sank deeper into trash. The crunch and grind of it all sounded like monsters coming to eat me.
Oh my goodness! The crunching and grinding got louder. So loud, I knew it couldn’t be just us.
My hands shook and my feet stopped working right. I didn’t want to look behind me.
Then something smacked me (more…)

9-year-old Maddie reading her Nook

“Children are ready to try e-books, with some thinking that a bigger selection of electronic texts would make reading for fun even more fun, according to a new study. But a solid majority of parents aren’t planning to join the digital revolution.

The 2010 Kids and Family Reading Report, released Wednesday and commissioned by Scholastic Inc., offers a mixed portrait of e-books and families. Around six out of 10 (more…)
